Amber Undercover | Book Design Cover

As part of a university project, I designed two book covers for the Amber Undercover / On the Run series, focusing on an illustration-led concept that visually hinted at the unfolding narrative and key themes within each story. The cover designs feature subtle foreshadowing through imagery, creating a sense of intrigue and continuity throughout the series. A unique design element I introduced was the use of a dominant, signature colour for each book, giving each title its own identity while maintaining a cohesive visual language across the series.
To enhance the project and support it from a marketing perspective, I also developed a range of promotional materials including custom-designed stickers and bookmarks. These items were tailored to reflect the visual identity of the covers and serve as engaging, collectible merchandise that could be used for promotional giveaways or in-store displays. The additional components not only strengthened the branding of the series but also demonstrated how design can extend beyond the cover to create a more immersive and marketable reader experience.
