Waitrose | Deposit Return Scheme
During my time at Waitrose, I led the design for a new initiative that launched two years ago: the Deposit Return Scheme, which was trialled in selective Scottish stores. This project was an exciting challenge that balanced clear communication with a clean, accessible design. I collaborated closely with the store development team and art-workers to bring the final concept to life.

Since the fixture is located outside the store, it was crucial that the design passed the “logo test." It needed to be instantly recognisable as Waitrose, even without using the official lock-up. Key considerations included legibility, with careful attention to type size, and visibility at all times of day. The prominent use of lime green ensured the fixture stood out in any lighting conditions.

The project was developed using a combination of Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
