DESIGAL is a quarterly, independent fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine–a curated collection of trends and styles that capture the essence of a dynamic moments. Alongside this, the read is jam packed full of tips, tricks and advice from leading individuals and brands in the South Asian community, as well as shedding light to new and upcoming individuals! 
We delve into the realms of contemporary fashion, exploring the fusion of classic elegance with avant-garde creativity. Our editorial team has scoured the globe to bring you the most captivating designs and visionary concepts, celebrating the diversity and vibrancy of the fashion world. 
As always, our mission remains to inspire, empower, and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual. Growing up and residing in a fast paced world of fashion and beauty and keeping up with not only one but several cultures can be overwhelming and stressful at times. Our aim is to make the lives of our audiences easier by having all the latest tips in one place whilst also fostering a community that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and self-confidence, encouraging each of you to embrace your individuality and express yourself fearlessly through the art of fashion and beauty. 
OUR AUDIENCE 
DESIGAL is targeted at all South Asian women; individuals from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Maldives and Bhutan. The content adressed through all aspects such as the text, photography and advertisements will be appropriate for any age, predominantly over the of 18. However, there is no reason why any youngster cannot pick up a copy of DESIGAL and have a read through! This read aims to give the target audience a small taste and update on the latest news and trends in fashion, beauty and entertainment in the South Asian society in the given season, whilst giving helpful advice and recommendations from the communities leading South Asian influencers and individuals–advice which is solely not based on external factors, but matters which embrace diversity, inclusivity, self-confidence and taboo subjects.

OUR COMPETITION
Whilst there are multiple magazine titles which focus on the similar content DESIGAL proposes such as Vogue India and Femina, these however, do not touch on topics subject matters outside beauty and fashion; topics which still should be discussed to connect to the reader further. This is where the lifestyle aspect of the magazine comes into play. Talking about challenges and topics which can be considered taboo, engages the reader more and makes them turn the page to keep on reading and browsing along. Our online website also gives the audience a chance to seek out and and contact individuals/brands mentioned in the magazine through our directory!
OUR BRAND
Our approach in terms of our brand is to be modern, yet timeless! The authenticity and enriched history of South Asia is flooded through our amazing image and art direction, whilst coupled with a modern typographic style and asymmetic layout, harmonising the both together. Using a variety of serifs and sans serifs has enabled the words to speak volume more than they already do. Stabilising rules and regulations for the micro/macro typography, has enabled the brand to flex and break it at times to enhance the subject at hand– whether it be the type or photography. 
DESIGAL stands for "desi girl." DESI, is a term used for a person who comes from or whose family comes from a South Asian background and GAL, is a relatable term for any girl living in the modern world! This reflects the overarching approach of the brand of it being modern, yet timeless! 
The overall tone of the magazine is to reflect the persona of every South Asian girl out there. Our aim is to not confuse our desi girl's with extravagant words, but act as though they are talking to one of their close friends. This is how we seek to instil a strong bond with out readers! 
ONLINE PRESENCE
Keeping up with the newest trends and reading about advice and makeup tips from your favourite makeup gurus can be one way to digest the information. However, having an online platform opens up a whole new market, as well as instilling and growing an established bond with your audience. 
Alongside DESIGAL Magazine, we bring to you our very own independent website and Instagram page! These spaces will give the chance for our Desi girls to locate and buy our printed magazine, read our blog covering all the sections we cover in the printed magazine itself, but most importantly, will enable our readers to search through our directory for what, or who they are looking for! Our Instagram page will allow for our audience to see our latest moves and will be a feed where they can see content all throughout the year, not only just a quarterly read! Instagram is an ever growing social media platform and we believe it will help to promote our magazine and brand like no other!
