This brief allowed me to have complete control on the design. Whilst sticking to certain guidelines and the look and feel of the food & drink report, I have had the freedom to experiment with different layouts, images, typography and different types of information. I have been able to use my learning about infographics and implement them instead of calling out the stats in plain text. After gaining feedback, I have had the opportunity extend and experiment with different layout options, using different photography (cut-outs & full bleed)
Once the report was published, it had landed extremely well with big news titles such as the Daily Mail and Telegraph commenting on the content. It's quite rewarding to know that these big titles have seen the work I have done from page to page. I also enjoyed presenting the Cooking Report in the wider content & design team huddle where I spoke about what the Cooking Report was about, taking everyone through the look and feel and concluding the positive result it has gotten from the public.
